Duraisamy Saravanakumar

Duraisamy Saravanakumar (Sara) is a Professor in Plant Pathology and Head of the Department of Food Production, Faculty of Food and Agriculture at The University of the West Indies, St Augustine Campus, Trinidad. He has over 20 years of experience in food systems practiced in sub-tropical and tropical production systems. He has served as a sustainable agriculture expert for EU and FAO projects. His present research is focused on the identification of highly hazardous pesticides (HHPs), study of health impacts of pesticides and development of sustainable bio-inputs for pest management in the Caribbean.
